* The Tape Machine (2009) is a portable analog live-looping instrument created by composer Anne Hege, built from three hacked cassette players: one recording head and two playback points. The process is fully audible, with original sound and looped sound distinguishable through degradation, detuning, and physical manipulation of the tape.
