Ben Richter’s Panthalassa: Dream Music of the Once and Future Ocean transforms a prepared microtonal accordion into the voice of the primordial Earth-wide ocean, with the moaning melodies of the live solo instrument combining with multitrack drones rich in overtones to create shimmering harmonies that slide in and out of just intonation.
