Traceroute wants to chase and question the ghosts of nerddom’s past, present and future. An exhilarating tour de farce into the guts of trauma, obsession and cognitive capitalism.

Johannes Grenzfurthner is an award-winning artist, filmmaker, writer, researcher. He is the founder and artistic director of monochrom, an internationally-acting art and theory group. He is head of “Arse Elektronika” (sex and tech festival) in San Francisco, “Hedonistika” (food tech festival in Montreal and Tel Aviv) and host of “Roboexotica” (Festival for Cocktail-Robotics) in Vienna. He directed the dark sci-fi comedy “Die Gstettensaga: The Rise of Echsenfriedl” (2014) and the feature-length documentary “Traceroute” (2016). He and his projects have been featured in The New York Times, Liberation, Spiegel, San Francisco Chronicle, CNN, Reuters, Slashdot, Playboy, Boing Boing, New Scientist, The Edge, the Los Angeles Times, NPR, ZDF, Gizmodo, io9, Wired, Sueddeutsche Zeitung, CNet, Toronto Star.
Chris Gore is a comedian and writer who was a regular on G4TV’s “Attack of the Show” where he did the popular DVDuesday segment as well as film coverage. He is also the founder of Film Threat, the author of several movie books including the Ultimate Film Festival Survival Guide, writer/producer of the feature comedy My Big Fat Independent Movie and Chris’ debut comedy album is titled “Celebrities Poop.” Chris has appeared as a film expert on MSNBC, E!, CNN, Reelz Channel and has also hosted shows on FX, Starz, IFC as well as G4TV’s Attack of the Show. As an author, Chris has written “The 50 Greatest Movies Never Made” (St. Martin’s Press) and “The Complete DVD Book” (Michael Wiese Publications).
