Lily Robert-Foley is a Paris based poet and researcher of bilingual writing. She is the author of “m” (Corrupt Press), a book of poetry-critique-collage based on readings of Beckett’s L’Innommable/The Unnamable; and “graphemachines” a chapbook of visual poetry from Xexoxial’s Xerolage series, an expanded version and self-translation of which is forthcoming from L’Atelier de l’Agneau, someday. She teaches Anglophone literature and translation at the University of Angers while she completes a doctorate on incomplete manuscripts.
Sofia Samatar is the author of A Stranger in Olondria, a fantasy novel exploring themes of travel, exile, and the conflict between oral and written ways of knowing. She is nonfiction and poetry editor for Interfictions, an online journal of interstitial arts, and teaches literature, writing, and Arabic at California State University Channel Islands. Marvin Astorga is a Los Angeles-based artist and, along with Young Joon Kwak, part of the drag-diva-opera-noise-house band / collective Xina Xurner. He is also the resident barber at Mutant Salon, a studio-based salon / experiment in art-making-cum-community building at the USC Roski School of Fine Art.
Young Joon Kwak is an artist working mostly with sculpture, video, and performance. She is a performer in the band Xina Xurner, and runs Mutant Salon in Los Angeles. Kwak received her BFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, MA in Humanities at the University of Chicago, and is currently pursuing her MFA at the University of Southern California.
